Diabetes Info
Diabetes is a disease in which the body does not produce or properly use insulin. Insulin is a hormone that is needed to convert sugar, starches and other food into energy needed for daily life. The cause of diabetes continues to be a mystery, although both genetics and environmental factors such as obesity and lack of exercise appear to play roles.

Approximately 17 million people in the united states, or 6.2% of the population, have diabetes. While an estimated 11.1 million have been diagnosed, unfortunately, 5.9 million people (or one-third) are unaware that they have the disease.2

nutrition can play a vital role in people with diabetes, especially for those with adult onset diabetes (type 2 diabetes). Chromium is an essential trace element that is required for the body to have normal insulin function.3 when the body has a chromium deficiency it can produce symptoms such as impaired glucose metabolism, high blood sugar levels, lower hdl levels, as well as many other problems. If your diet is high in refined sugars and refined grains like white bread, you actual intensify the chromium depletion in the body.

If you or someone you know has diabetes or are at risk of getting diabetes, spread the word and make sure they understand the critcal importance of protecting their body from this deadly disease. Improve your diet, exercise and nutritionally support the body with the best absorbed form of nutrients available in some vitamins.

Good luck to you

To my paitents, I always recommend a new product called the greatest vitamin in the world. I dont know if you seen its commercial on tv. Its a combination of all the vitamins your body will need in 1 pill.

I also recommend it cause it uses vitamins from the fruit, unliked the other synthetic vitamins, that can sometimes harm your body.

You can go to the website and read more about it, the site itself is very educational. The best part is that they gaurantee it so that if you do not like it, you can return the empty bottle within 30 days for a full refund (which only 1 out of 20 patients do).

thank you

Hope
Smile you have not given any details about your life style. The most I can say is to exercise as much as you can, check with your Dr. Before starting a new program. Check your blood sugar often and eat right. Keep a record of what and when you eat. Record your blood sugar readings and take both to the doctor's office each visit. There is hope for a long and active life. My father one brother and one sister and myself have diabetes. My father is 78 and still gets around.

Hi, the basic change in your llifestyle will be food and a need to excercise, which helps a great deal with regulating blood sugar levels. Do research the disease on the web, there are many wonderful sites that will tell you much. I suggest you do a very low carb diet, stay away from white rice, potatoes, pasta, except in small amounts and adjusting your meds to what you eat, stick to lots of veggies, low glycemic fruits, ( you can get a glycemic index of foods on the web, they are the foods that enter your bloodstream slower, thus , you,re glucose will not spike right away but will be absorbed slower and safer) small amounts of protein, and of course, avoid sugar, if you can. Keep track of your numbers so you know what different foods are doing to your body, you may have to elminate some altogether, one example, is I just can,t eat watermelon, though I love it, it just does crazy stuff with my numbers, the more you educate yourself on this disease, the better you will be able to stay healthy. Good luck sharon
