Elevated Cpk & Triponin After Taking Cialis/flying
Posted: 11-17-05 08:10am

I am a healthy male in my 30's with ed. Don't smoke, don't drink excessively, not overweight and have normal blood bressure. I'm 6'2", 175 lbs. No known allergies or additional medications.

On a recent vacation involving a long flight I took cialis upon arrival. Before any sexual activity we went on a very mild hike ~ 1 mile, fairly level, and I ran out of energy and became nauseous.

A couple days later I had a similar reaction to exercise and had to cut it short. Nausea and a very fast heart rate delayed our flight home and I saw a local doctor.

They did an ekg and did some blood work which revealed elevated levels of cpk and triponin. The ekg was normal. They allowed me to fly home but was told to see my doctor immediately.

Upon doing so I was hospitalized. My cpk levels had jumped from 4000 to over 5000 but everything else was normal. Ekg, ct, nuc, echocardiagram tests were all negative.

My cpk levels are now normal but we're are struggling to understand the connection between the flying, cialis, nausea and cpk/triponin levels...If any.

Purely conjecture but I think my body may not like flying although it does not induce anxiety. I did pass out on a flight once for no apparent reason (after sitting still for an extended period).

I welcome your thoughts
