Okay, I feel kind of stupid, but this could also be serious so here we go..

I started birth control for the first time about a week ago. I was given ortho tri cycle lo to start out with and told about side effects and all that jazz. Now, i'm an extremely paranoid person and when I was little, couldn't read side effects on pills because I would get nervous and think about them all the time.

So I started my pills and things were ok the first day. The second evening, I had a stomach ache, but it wasn't like sharp pain - it was more of a bloating/gassy type of pain I merely attributed to either something I ate or a minor side effect of the pill. This happened the next day, too, but went away after that. But then maybe three or four days in, I was convinced my arm felt funny. Not really numb, but just weird. Like when you've lifted weight with an arm for a long time and stop and then your muscles feel really weird. So of course, I automatically thought, "oh my god, it said something about your arm or leg going numb if you're having blood clots!" i'm still feeling that way. Once in awhile I won't notice it, but then I will again. And now that i'm sitting around worrying about it, i've started getting headaches. So then I start thinking the headache must be another big symptom and i'm definitely going to have a stroke or something soon.

What i'm trying to decide is whether I should attribute my funny-feeling arm to the bc and go to a doctor or if it's most likely all in my head and i'm being paranoid. Everyone i've talked to seems to think I would have more symptoms than just my arm feeling weird if it were something serious. So I don't know.

Anyway, besides the arm thing, i've really had no issues with the bc at all.

I wouldn't worry about anything, if you were taking something with more hormones and had a tad bit more symptoms then I would worry about it but from the sounds of it I think you are just thinking to much about it.
