Alright I am thinking more about this and why my period is coming 2 weeks early. Lets just say I have a very good chance of conceiving twins in my future, my mother is a twin. Maybe i'm not correct, maybe I dont have a chance...But if I did.....

And there were 2 eggs, could one have not made it, the sperm may have just gotten to one? Would that cause my period, if one egg wasnt fertilized? Then if the other is im pregnant, but just didnt conceive twins? I'm trying all explanations on this one! Ahhhh help!

Im not sure what to tell you about losing one twin but I can tell you that if your mother is a twin your chances could be as high as 1 in 17

www.Multiples.About.Com there are alot of sites about this subject if you want to research it further

Im not saying twins cause early pregnancy or whatever you said.... I'm saying

if I release 2 eggs, and one gets fertilzed, can I get my period, since one didnt, if any of this is possible

Your not going to have your period coz your already preggy, and even if its only one egg fertilized still your pregnant.

Ahhh
What? That made no sense to me!!! I did get somewhat of a period, i'm wondering if my chance of conceiving twins caused a period....

That if u release two eggs and only one gets fertilzed, that one will go out of the body, in other words a period.

I haven't tested yet, i'm still deciding when too! I'm so excited :-) I hope I am.....

Does anyone else know the likelihood of that happening, having a period because there were two eggs, and only one got fertilized!?

2 Eggs one results in a period the other fertilizes.
I am going through this right now in June I had a normal period and as of today I am 3 days late and I am NEVER late. The only other time I didn't get my period was when I was pergnant with my daughter. I was wondering if 2 eggs dropped one got fertilize and the other didn't causing a normal period and now in July no period. I would love to hear if this is p[ossible because like you I don't want to test just in case it's negitive.

yes this is very well possible. You can release more than one egg and only one become the fertile one. But chances are if the sperm got to the other egg it would have gotten both fertilized. But there still is a good chance you are pregnant either way with one or more, because when the egg implants it could cause some spotting or what some woman mistake for their period. Take a preg test and call your doc.

It is highly rare to ovulate twice in a month.

If you are late, take a pregnancy test.
