Over the last month or so I have gotten to
where I cannot sleep at all at night, no
matter how tired I am. It takes me
forever to fall asleep in the early
morning hours when my body finally starts
wearing down. When I do fall asleep I
usually sleep for like 12 hours, which is
way to much but I can't bring myself to
get up. I try to go to bed early at
night but it don't work, it's like my body
just will not settle down at night. I
would appreciate any advice!!!

Help Sleeping Posted: 12-06-05 21:22pm
I have been having the same problem. I
don't get to sleep until around midnight
every night. My husband is a marine and
he works very strange hours, most days he
wakes up between 3 and 4am and when he
wakes up...I wake up. Then I go to sleep
around 5am and wake up at 11am. Luckily
our 3 year old daughter sleeps when I
sleep or else I would lack serious sleep.
Anyways (sorry i'm blabbing on and
on)...
I tried tylenol pm-i didn't want any
addictive rx drugs and it worked. It
gets me to sleep in no time and I don't
wake up when my husband wakes. I wake up
refreshed now! It might work for you
too, it's worth a try. Hope I helped.
Good luck.

I Second That..tylenol Pm Rocks! Posted: 12-07-05 10:42am
Tylenol pm is awesome..I work third shift
and it is hard to go to bed when the sun
is out!! Also I recently discovered that
benadryll has the same active ingredient
as tylenol pm and works just as good..
Its cheaper also..I get a 90 ct bottle of
generic at walmart...It also helps my
allergies-i have two ferrets and they make
me sneeze..But I love em so im keeping
them!
Good luck with the sleeping....

Sleeping Therapy Posted: 12-10-05 22:05pm
This sleeping concern bothered my dad
before. My dad is a late night taxi
driver. Whenever he gets home he is
always unable to sleep well... He will go
come home at 4am after driving and at 6am,
he'll go out and do his taiji even though
if he needs sleep desparately, because he
couldn't go to sleep at all. That's when
I resorted to get a sleep therapy bed
system for him. In the first place, he
was quite uncomfortable with it, throat
dry, abit hot to sleep in. Cause
instructions were given that the "far
infra-red ray" will make your body
increase metabolism, water absorption rate
increase.I used to disbelieve any beds,
cos for the magnetic fields, you must
place the bed in the right direction or
whatever, else it will not be good. Haha
its like feng shui! That's why I choosed
a non-magnetic one. Whatever. After 2
weeks, he was able to sleep soundly, not
easily disturbed by the surroundings and
he's not accompanying me to go for morning
exercises anymore. Is that good or bad?
Haha~* well, anyway, just wanna share the
experience with u all. :)

I guess the morning exercises (right
before bed) were probably not helping him
wind down...But exercise for anyone at the
right time of day are actually good for
people who cant sleep, just not right
before bedtime...:)

oh, he went to exercise because he
couldn't sleep, not because of exercise,
therefore he can't sleep. That's why,
