I know that on birth control you have to either start on the day of or the following sunday

but my question is:

do I take a sugar pill or an active pill?

Extremely eHealthy
Active.

But there should be instruction in with the packet anyway -- you need to read this through thoroughly.

They usually recommend to start on a sunday so you wont get confused. But you can start any day of the week. You always start with the first pill. The sugar ones (if you have any) are always the last ones.It should explain everything in the instructions even though they can sound very confusing sometimes.
