Q: Possible Large Blood Clot

I recently passed what my doctor thinks to be a large (2 inches long) blood clot. It looked more like tissue to me, and had the consistency of raw chicken breast. I was not on my period at the time (i had an unusally heavy period and had stopped bleeding the week before.) I was administered a pregnancy test to ensure that it was not a miscarriage... It was negative. My doctor does not seem overly concerned, I have had small clots before but nothing that resembled this or of this size. Should I be concerned? Is this unusual?

Since your doctor ruled out miscarriage I would not worry. As long as you don't have pain or cramping. If it happens again I would go back to the doctor, but I wouldn't worry now.
