For about three years on and off I have been having pain under my right shoulder blade in my back. Know it is there all the time. Sometimes it is worse then others. But when its bad its bad. I have a app. With a orthapedic doctor the end of this month. I am scared of what he is going to find.

sup man,

I have had the same problems with stabbing pains right under my left shoulder blade for years now. Like you said, sometimes its not so bad and some days I cant even sit still because it hurts so bad. I went to a chiropractor and he told me I injured a rib when i got slammed on my back and its pinching a nerve close to my shoulder blade. I wasnt sure if that was BS or not but after 2 visits to him with hardly any results I stopped going anyways. Lately I have been doing back exercises and it seems to be helping alot with the overall pain. I'm not sure what to do but if u had any sucess please share your story. If I somehow get better I'll post how. I cant take much more of this caca. lol

Try reading "The Mindbody Prescription" by Dr. Jhon Sarno.

The The Mindbody Prescription where it is believed that back pain and other pain syndromes are caused by repressed emotional and psychological issues I believe there is no credible evidence to support this theory. It should be kept in mind that multiple sclerosis was formerly called hysterical paralysis until proper research proved this to be a neurological disorder.

Hello tex,

I'm with Rollar's thoughts about the book.

In my opinion you are headed in the right direction - to an orthapedic doctor. GO and see what he'she has to say. You mentioned that it is at the end of the month. Whoops, just noticed your post was on Nov 14th of '05. So can you give us an ujpdate of how you are doing? Thanks

RichT
