Lol.

My mom & her friend are planning it, but she wants to know what I want before hand. So she knows i'll like it.

I would have it at my apartment but its an apartment. There's going to be quite a few people coming and the parking here is awful, people fight over parking spots like hungry dogs.

Not to mention what kinda food we should prepare and etc!

I never thought it would be this stressful!

I haven't been to a baby shower in years...So bear with me

for food I did cold cuts, sliced cheese, bread, your basic finger foods...Salads.
You could make lasagna, pasta, garlic bread...

Now for games.. We played this one through the whole shower.. Everyone had a necklace with a toy pacifier attached and if you heard someone use the word "baby" you could take their necklace.. At the end whoever had the most won a prize.
This game uses only a roll of toilet paper...Everyone makes a guess as to how many squares it would take to rap around your whole mid section...Whoever is closer wins a prize.

I hope you have fun!

Re: Baby Showers
Baby showers can be so much fun, so make it fun. Play games, have cake and treats for the guests. If you don't know what kind of games to play, look up baby shower games on the internet and you will find lots of fun games. Trust me. I have 2 children of my own and I am in the process of planning a shower for my best friend.

In my family, we do a cotton ball game.

The mother sits in a chair with a big bowl of cotton balls in her lap and an empty bowl on her head. Shes blindfolded and takes a soup spoon and puts as many cotton balls as she can on her head in a minute. The remaining women have to beat the mother's score to win a prize.

And then there is the display game.

(usually, a friend or family member did this for my aunts and cousins)
what you will need:
a gift basket filled with baby supplies(my aunt made a diaper "cake" for my uncle's wife)
paper and pens.

You let the guests look at whats in the gift basket for a minute and then you cover it up. They have to write what they remember was in the basket and write it down. Whoever has the most right wins.

There is the bottle game:
you fill up baby bottles with soda/beer/juice (one of those hehe, I did soda) and the players have to chug whatever is in the bottle down. Whoever is finished first wins.

The baby food game:
what you will need:
baby food(desert flavors; 4 small jars)
plastic spoons(4)
blind folds(4)
8 players.

Four of the players gets blindfolded and their team member without the blindfold has to feed them babyfood. The first team to finish all of their babyfood wins. This one is highly recommended. Its so much fun to watch everyone try to win prizes and shove babyfood in their teammates mouth. Not to mention, fun to play!

I have loads more...

what do think about having it at another relative's house or maybe even at the father's parents house...To solve the space issue? I think its a cute idea to have it after the baby is born, that way u can kill two birds with one stone! They'll come to the shower and be able to meet "baby" at the same time! I think you should serve whatever your favorite foods are...Its all about you and "baby" goodluck!
