I was on lexapro before. I didn't like the decreased sexual drive, so I changed meds. Other than that it was fine.

What did you change to? And as far as the decreased sexual drive, I definitely experienced that, especially in the form of delayed ejaculation period. It went away, however, after about 6 weeks at most.

I was on lexapro for about 6 months. Intially it worked well but, later I had to change meds as it lost its affect. Although it seems most ssri's lose there effect eventually and they really just pick you up at the beginning.

Ahh lexapro. I haven't been on it, but I know many who have. It's the most selective ssri out, so it's basically the best ssri. People say it's half of celexa, but that's not true at all. Ther's two isomers, so two ingrediants lets say. They realised one was useless and only caused side effects. So there you go, you have lexapro. It'll help you handle stress, and get rid of depression. And for the person where it stopped working, that seems to happen with all psychiatric meds. It's called poop-out, and in rare cases, they just stop working. Strange, no one knows why it happens.
