Okay, this may seem really weird...But I started ortho lo three months ago. I have always been sort of sensitive 'down there', and I can't use certain soaps and such. I haven't changed anything like that, but the three weeks that I do not have a period, I have something like a yeast infection. It goes away when I am on my period though, and it is worse after I have sex. I bath once, sometimes two times a day, just because it bugs me so bad. I don't know what else to do...I have tried that new 'azo pill' and the creams...They only seem to work temporarily, but no real relief. Has anyone else had this as a side effect or is it just my body like trying to adjust to the changes with the hormones? I'd appreciate any insight because this nuisance is driving me nuts!!

Um... Have you been tested for std's? If you haven't, that might be something to look into. Or perhaps you are allergic to latex and are using condoms? It doesn't sound like a yeast infection to me. It would probably be best if you talked to a doctor about this. Hope this helps.

It's not an std, I have only been with one guy for over a year, I would think that the doctor would find something if I had it....But, I read on here about someone else who may have been having the same thing as me...And I found out that one of my friends have to. So maybe it is a side effect or something? If it doesn't clear up after my period I am going to get a diflucan, for yeast infections, then if it doesn't clear up i'll go to the doc. Thanks though.

I've been on birth control for years, and ever since then i've had many yeast infections. So it's very possible that what you're experiencing is infact a yeast infection. Diflucan, and over the counter creams never really worked for me. The thing that helped me the most was to cut down on sugar. Do you eat a lot of sugar?

It definitely doesn't sound like an STD - it sounds like a very common problem that many women (including myself) suffer from. It's most likely the BC pills. Trying a different brand that has a lower dose of progesterone in it may help. I was having the same issues - I basically felt like I had a constant mild yeast infection that would clear up during and just after my period. It totally sucked.
