Adderall I Need Help Posted: 11-11-05 17:10pm
My son has been on adderall since
kindergarden, he is now in 5th grade. I
take him to a child psyciotrist, but I am
now concerned about this medication, my
ex- husband and my husband both want him
off of it.. He is acting totally oppisate
of what he use to on this medication, it
use to calm him, now he acts like he is on
speed. And the dr wants to increase the
dose... We are all not happy about this
can someone please help me.. I am so
scared of what this is going to do to our
son and our family.... Can you just not
give it to them when they have been on it
for so long, or do you have to wean them
off..... Please help me......

When it comes to matters on your child's
well being your gut instinct is more than
90% of the time right. You have good
reason to be concerned, not even the
doctor will be able to give you a truthful
answer because this is a gray area. Talk
the doctor about stepping him down off it
then switch to a drug that doesnt have
stimulants in it. I believe
straterra(spchk) is one.
