Okay, I shave down there, but I leave a
"landing strip." I usually get razor burn
pretty bad and it only stays smooth for
like a day and a half or so. What's the
best way to keep from getting the bumps?
Any advice at all is appreciated. Thanks!

If you go to walmart, in the area where
they have the shaving cream and razors,
they have a small bottle of an aftershave
oil that prevents bumps and irritation.
Just a suggestion.

Razor Suggestion And Cream.. Posted: 11-12-05 12:57pm
I found razors that are specifically
designed for african american men to be
the most helpful in preventing bumps.
The blades are shaped differently than
regular razors. Also, use bikini zone
shaving cream(its a blue gel with blue
dots) while shaving, and bikini zone cream
afterward. The products are
expensive(about $7 each), but its the only
thing I found that works. Also, wearing
cotton underwear after shaving will
prevent irritation and avoid lotions with
dyes and perfumes--this will all aggravate
the sensitive area! My hair grows back
quickly too...Sorry I thik we're stuck
with those genetics!

My Secret Trick Posted: 11-13-05 08:56am
After shaving I put clear gel geoderant on
the shaved area. It helps alot to
prevent bumps and razor burn. Just make
sure it is on the external area of your
punani. It may burn a little like after
shave does because of the alcohol in it.
For me this works really well.

I shave the direction the hair grows, and
haven't had a problem with bumps or
irritation (yet)! I also dry the area
really well, and immediately (once dried
completely), put lotion on.

If you shave with the grain, you don't
really get a smooth shave do you? My hair
is pretty course, so I would be worried
that with the grain wouldn't help much...
