Hi there my name is gary and 13 years ago I had my jaw broken, I had an operation to fix it but it has left it crooked. My mandible is not straight . My teeth do not fit together properly which tells me my jaw has not been set in the correct place. This was the start of my problems. I had always been paranoid by my ears sticking out and so I had them corrected (not that there was anything wrong with them in the first place but there you go. I have been on anti depressants for a number of years but they don't seem to work my doctor just fobs me off because I am male young, and fit. When I walk down the road I try and walk on the left hand side to hide my bad side. What can I do? I am now 29 and have two young children to concentrate on some days are good , some are bad. Should I try to get my jaw fixed ? Thank you for taking the time to read this....

In my opinion you shouldnt get your jaw fixed, at least not until you have worked out some issues, if you do have bdd then once your jaw is fixed you will onlyu move on to focusing on another problem area. Hope my opinion gave you another perspective. Keep smiling x
