Anyone have any ideas?

I am confused as I have been told I have high cholestrol, sorry I don't have the count...I was surprised so I forgot to ask the specialists.

I am vegetarian have been for 20 years.
I don't smoke, never did.
I don't eat fast food, never really have.
I drink about 2 times a month, moderately.I thought I was eating healthy, but I guess this can be genetic? Anyone hvae thoughts on this?

Thank you.

High cholesterol can be genetic. Just because you are vegetarian though does not mean you won't get high cholesterol. Breads and starches add up in your triglycerides along with tofu. If you do a search for cholesterol and low cholesterol diets on the web you will find loads of info. Also, start reading labels and look for low cholesterol and low fat products. It's hard but it will help.
