My dentist deadened my mouth prior to filling a cavity. I still felt the drill so he stuck the anesethic needle in again and it looked and felt like he twisted the needle in my gum/jaw. That night my cheek had a swelled up ball and was very painful to the touch at the site of the injection. It has been 6 days now and it has subsided somewhat; however, the ball of swelling and pain is still there. Did he damage the nerve? What should I do?
