Hi girls;
i'm asking about this birth control because my daughter is on it. Has anyone out there been or is on seasonale?
Did anyone gain weight with it?
How do you feel?
I wish she would just get a tubaligation. She has two children and dosen't want to have any more. Why put these chemicals in your body if its not necessary?? I'm just worried about her on this medication.

My daughter has gained a lot of weight and i'm worried. She also has had some bad stomach pains. Tell me as much as you can. I would really appreciate it.

I didn't like it very much, and my doctor told me a lot of women weren't tolerating it very well. I didn't gain weight, but I was very cranky. I took it for only 3 months, and then I tried the patch, and now i'm back on ortho tri cyclen lo, which is what I was on before I tried seasonale. I liked the idea of only 4 periods a year, but the side effects weren't worth it. But some people love it, and it's great for those who have very bad periods.

My experience on seasonale
I started taking seasonale for the second time just about 5 weeks ago due to painful periods. The first time around(age 21), I had no issues with the pill, no breakthrough bleeding, or any side effects. If you would have asked me about the pill I would have swore by it. However, this time around (age 25), I have had breakthrough bleeding for about 7 days now (not consistent, but still annoying), around the same time the breakthrough bleeding started I started developing a rash on my arm, that has since spread to my other arm, knee and behind my ear, I can't focus, and today I felt very disoriented and weak while playing basketball, which is very uncommon considering I am always playing. I have recently lost weight, but that was not due to the pills, rather a change in life style, and my diet has not been altered very much either. So I would recommend the pill to people, but I would caution them that it is really luck of the draw, you will either love it or hate it.
