My daughter has has this condition for 4 years off and on, her thigh muscle jerks uncontrollably, very violently and has to wear a full leg brace, or she would do damage to her body. This greatly effects her back as the spasms travel up the back. Has has various neurological tests, and saw so many consultants, none of theses consultants has ever came across this condition. She is currently taking clonasapan, kapak and baclafen. Please help us , as we are so desperate!!!

Have you had her vitamin levels checked out to see if she's deficient in anything? Epson salt has magnesium in it which is vital for healthy muscles, among other things. It's more readily absorbed into the body via transdermal, so taking a bath with epson is ideal. You can take a supplement too, but taking the baths 3 times a week would help significantly. I would take her to an acupuncturist. They are amazing in that area.
