Positive Symptoms And Negative Tests Posted: 11-08-05 15:15pm
I know this is a common question and the
only real answer is to keep testing.
Fyi- i'm on the pill but I accidentally
thought I missed a pill and took 2 too
early...Oops. So I had on day without
the pill because I had already taked it.
I'm confused because I started having
preggo symptoms a few days before my
period was due (headache, nausia,
fatigue)..Which could have been anything.
I didn't have cramps or my normal pms
symptoms though.
I bled very light (i'm a heavy bleeder),
and it came a couple days early. I
had 1 drop on day one, a few more on day
2, a little more on day 3, one light flow
day (could have been my period) then it
faded away. I also had slim to none
cramping.
I took a blood test a few days after my
period was due because it didn't seem like
my normal period (negative), and my home
test were negative too.
But then- my nipples started to get sore,
that lasted about a week and then when
that disappeared my breasts were larger
than normal! And now i'm starting to
pee every hour or less...I also have
larger nipples and my montgomery tubercles
are more prominent. I continue to
have mild headaches and nausia. It's
now 2 weeks after my "so-called period"
and I tested with accu-clear htp
(negative) and ept digital (negative- but
there were 2 lines...One very faint when I
ejected the stick). I'm confused
because I don't want to be the annoying
patient who wont believe the negative
tests and needs more blood tests, but my
body never acts this way!
In addition to all my symptoms...My body
just feels different. I've heard to
just keep testing every few days until my
period comes again- but shouldn't my tests
be positive by now???
This isn't all in my head either...I don't
even want to be pregnant...I'm actually
peeing every hour or less and my breast
are bigger. Are my hormones just out
of control or playing a mean trick on
me?

I've been more hungry than normal
throughout the day...I'm not having as
many cravings as I am having adversions.
And i'm constipated and bloated...Which
isn't common for me.
By the way...I'm still a week and a half
away from my next period...So none of this
is pms.

two lines, with one very faint?

It can take up to 3 weeks past missed
period to get pos urine test. Sometimes
urine test never come out. Some pple
have implantation bleeding and some pple
have periods while preg. So anything is
possible.

Yes- I had a faint line but it was one of
those digital tests. The results were
not pregnant, but when I took out the test
there was a very faint line. I've heard
not to analyze that line...I'm not sure
why. It seems if there is hcg there that
would pick it up...

still not be? That's a funny
question...Of course it's possible. But
it doesn't seem likely to me.

i am in the same boat you are. I have
taken hpt all neg. I have taken a blood
test also neg. I am also experiencing
the so called pregnancy symptoms. And
trust me I know what you mean by not
wanting to be one of those patients that
just refuse to believe the tests. But I
understand where you are coming from, just
plain and simple wanting to know what the
heck is going on with your body. I also
have had a so called period since I first
started questioning what was going on it
was really light(so not like me) and only
lasted 2-3 days. Then nothing for 2days
and now I am having a pinkish discharge.
Well anyway,
i just wanted to let you know that you are
not alone and if you need someone to talk
to pm me.

I am in the same boat...I have:
nausea, fatigue, hot/cold flashes, sore
breasts, missed period, headaches, some
cramping, frequent urination, increased
sense of smell, excessive discharge (not
smelly, itchy, or burning in any way and
totally clear), and just an overall weird
feeling. Blood test came back negative?
I don't know what to think . Any
thoughts???

My period ended on the 1st of this month
and I had unprotected sex on the 4th. On
the 6th I had a little bleeding which
looked like spots but after I wiped there
was no more there. I had the same thing
on the 7th. But on the 10th I had what
appeared to be the same thing but the
drops where more plentiful. What are my
chances of being pregnant. I am trying to
conceive however, I am not trying to worry
too much because I know that your mind and
body plays tricks on you when you want
something real badly.

I'm Still So Confused Posted: 11-11-05 15:15pm
For a few days now i've thought I wasn't
pregnant afterall. After my negative
blood test I had earlier this month (which
I thought was wrong) my doctor put me on a
new birth control "yasmin".
I didn't realize this was a mild diuretic
which can cause frequent urination.
I still have all the preggo symptoms (no
vomiting thought...Whew) and i'm thinking
some of these might be due to yasmin,
however I thought I was pregnant before I
started yasmin- but i've heard that
frequent urination can also be caused by
excessive diuretics and that started a few
days after starting the pill. I'm peeing
every hour or less now..It's getting
worse. And my stomach feels bloated and
harder even though i'm not feeling bloated
at the moment.
I heard 2 things that make me confused
about my symptoms: diuretics can cause
false negative blood tests or false
positives...I've heard of both and I don't
know which is true- false negatives makes
more sense.
And diuretics make you urinate more....So
I just don't know what to believe now. I
guess i'll just wait for my next period to
crash my party.
It makes me nervous because i've thought I
wasn't pregnant on and off and I haven't
stopped taking bc pills- and I don't want
to get pregnant by not being on the pills
if i'm not preggo already!
