Q: Lupus Flare In My Skin - Will "flares" Always Be I

I have not been actively seeking medical advise, as I do not have a family doctor, I am pretty much used to suffering with joint/body pain (some days worse than others). My original "flare" was hives - severe chronic (lasting more than 6 months). Given pretizone, benadryl. I am now believe I am having another flare but not in my skin - I have a constant low grade temperature, extreme fatigue, heat and swelling in joints, wrists, fingers, elbows, shoulders, and ribs. Pain in right side going through to back, with abdominal swelling. A contributing factor could be i'm going through menopause...

Can "flares" migrate to other major organs?

Thanks....

What I Was Told By My Family Physician Was That
During a recent flare is that it can attack any part of the body & that the flares may not always be the same. Gave me some peace of mind but sent my mind racing as well.

I Use Cortisone Cr
Use cortisone cr and stay out of the sun and slow down your activities. Get enough sleep and take care of yourself these are very important. Do it and you will see a significant improvement. Focus on you and its all common sense. You are sick and you need to acknowledge it take precautions in all that you do. When your exhausted relax and be lazy that day. You are entitled to it. Take advantage of the fact that you can be lazy occasionally and allow your body to recover. Good luck
