Q: Am I Pregnant Or Did the Pill Stop My Period Immediately?

Yesterday I thought my period started, and my doctor told me to start seasonale on the sunday during my period or right after, or the sunday it starts.

I thought my period started because I felt cramps, so I took my first pill for the first time, and then went to put on a pad, but to my suprise it hadn't, and 24 hours later, it still hasn't.

Did the one pill stagnate my period, or was it cramping from something else that I assumed was menstruation? I expected the cramping to be my period since it was 2 days late, and now 3.

I guess there's a very very very slim possibility that I could be pregnant since there was semen near my vagina (never actual sexual intercourse, but I read there was a slim possibility that it can happen without penetration,) a few weeks ago, and I am unsure that I should be worried or not if pregnancy is the case.

I would love to know someone's opinion. Should I not take the pill tonight and see if my period starts, or should I take it because of the highly unlikely chance that i'm pregnant?

Thank you for your help, it's very much appreciated.

To be on the safe side, take a pregnancy test as soon as you can. You can keep taking the pills for right now, unless you get a positive result on the test, then stop taking them and call your doc for an appointment.

If the test is negative, you should be just fine to keep taking them. But I would still call your doc and ask them to be sure. Good luck!
