Be true to yourself. Do not let others "govern" your emotional state. Try not to let so much of your love out. It is a radar and they know you "can be used" say no, when you want to say no---dont just say yes, cuz you feel they expect you to. Do good things for yourself every day. I went for years "but I am a christian, shouldnt I be doing all these good things for them" but somewhere I got lost in all of that. It is good to do good things, but not to the point you forget about you. Love yourself first, cuz you can't truly love anyone else until you do. I know this is so easy for me to say now, but there was a time, I couldnt even understand what it all meant. .God told me, "all these things you do are wonderful, but you are doing them for the wrong reason" I was doing it to prove to them I loved them, and that I was a good person. Trying to make them believe me, when I spoke. To be accepted by them. Now I learn, you cannot make anothers mans opinion change, no matter what you do. They will love you and respect you, no matter bad you appear to them. They will not love you and not respect you no matter how good you are to them.

Do you understand the words that are coming outta my mouth?? Lol

i hope you find the little girl tht is hiding down inside of yourself and nurture her to maturity. She is longing for you to come back and get her--take her with you. I wish I knew of a good book, but this I learned all just from .God. I asked .Him to let me know me. And in turn I now know others the same way I know me. It has been a wonderful journey--but not without it's pain and disappointments.

.God bless you--i hope you kind the way

Lots and lots and lots and lots of people have codependency. Its a way a person manages their needs and their needs within relationships. Read a good book about it.

i'm pretty sure casey wanted to see if anyone else on these forums had codependency or any advice about it... Redirecting her to a search engine probably won't be helping her out...

Oh wait she said that all in her post...
