Please Help Me If You Can Posted: 11-07-05 13:54pm
I know that I cannot receive diagnosis
from this forum but I would like to share
a few symptoms and ask a couple of
questions, and then if anyone can shed
light on my situation I would be grateful
to hear from you.
I am a 35 year old female, with seven
children. I have warm wet feelings on my
head from time to time, with no pain. I
have white cob-web looking things (for
lack of a better description) in my vision
of left eye that will last for 10 mintue
spurts every now and then. I have had
what was thought to be as carpel tunnel
(spelling?) in both hands but it went away
suddenly with no treatment, after about 4
days. Tingling shoots in my left arm on
occassion but not enough to bother me. I
am forgetful and my hair is getting thin.
Last baby born 2 years ago, so I don't
think its due to hormones. Does anyone
think this sounds like it could be ms? I
know I need diagnosis from a doctor, but
do these symptoms even sound familiar to
anyone? Also...For second question, how
were you diagnosed? I am terrified of
spinal tap. I have had botched epidurals
with my deliveries and the thought
terrifies me of having a spinal. I hope
I hear from someone! Thanks!

Wow are you busy! 7.
Dear one, is it the costs that make you
hesitate? Some people aren't insured.
Just a thought. You will have to go to a
neurological center. Do everything for
you for them. Indeed, a lumbar puncture
may be prescribed. It's often more the
dread than the pain. My daughter had
about 5 after contracting viral menengitis
and never shed a tear. But initially you
do not have to comply. They can run all
other tests first. Don't be afraid.
