Hi girls.

I have extreemly painful periods every month. My cycle is the normal 28 days, and I usually have my period for about 4 days.. Heavy and sometimes another 2-3 days of spotting. Growing up my period was heavy for the first 2 days, then nothing for the 3rd, and the 4th was just a small amount. So they have definitly gotten longer. The pain is getting worse and worse all of the time. What do you all do for the pain that you have? I have tried medication, going on the pill (which only makes me sick) and heat therapy. Heat is often about the only thing that does anything to ease some of the pain. I have to take too much meds for the pain to go away. Also I usually have more pain on one side than the other. Is that typical? My mother used to pass out from her pain and I have one sister who is 34 who is having a hyserectomy this year, another who was told to have one 4 years ago (she is now 35) and I am only 28, trying to have a baby now for 2.5 years with no luck at all. My mother was young when she had her hysterectomy as well due to uterine cancer. I am starting to wonder if I am going to end up like my mom. Anyways, again I would love to know what you have all done to ease the pain as I need something to help. I am only on day 3 of my pain this cycle but it is really starting to hurt worse today and my clots are incredibly large. That could be part of it. Hope to hear from someone soon. Thanks, mary

I used to have really bad pains, I felt like I could die. And it would be like 30 seconds of unbearable pain and then 10 seconds of no pain. I would lay on the floor in such pain, and I would just scream and cry. It was like I had no control of myself because the pain was so bad. I then got on the pill and I do not have it anymore. I would def. Go to the gyno and talk to him about it. There are meds for people who have bad cramps during their period, one of my friends has to take meds for it which is not birth control. Just go to the doc and find out
