Q: How Long Did It Take You to Get Pregnant?

Hi, I know everybody is different but it helps to know peoples' experiences. I have been trying to get pregnant for almost four months now and I am getting a little bit anxious.

My mother, sisters and closest friends always got pregnant on the first month of trying which I think it is the other side of the spectrum.

Can "normal" woman tell me how long it took you and how old were you at the time?

Hello I got prego with my daughter when I was 15, it was unplanned but now she is almost 3 and I am engaged and trying again... It has been five months going on six now this month... And nothing yet.. It takes time, and I dunno about anyone else, but I have gone to certian online sites that help keep trach of your periods and ovulation days to help... See I am supposely going to be ovulateing around the 16, and they say to have intercourse 2-3 days before, so thats what we are going to do... Good luck to all who are trying... All in good time..

*baby dust* to all!!!

Struggles..
When I first got off the pill we were ttc for about 6 months and I eventually got frustrated and gave up. I went back on the pill for 1 month then changed my mind again, then I got pregnant the first month.

I lost the baby at 5 months of pregnancy and currently its been about 2 months so far ttc again.

I have been doing a little research about ttc and I have read that a normal couple still only have about a 25% chance each month of getting pregnant- even if they have sex during ovulation....

Trying for up to a year is normal, (although I agree frustrating!) and I know we have all heard a million times that if you just relax it will happen, but ttc is stressful sometimes and that stress itself can delay conception.

Good luck everyone!

I call my frustration "gone crazy"!!!!

We have only been trying for almost 2 months but I have already gone crazy with it......I lost my baby and had to wait for my body to heal and now it just seems like it is saying no more....... 2 months feels like 2 years to me..... I know what you are saying, both my sisters are pregnant and I have a hard time being around them. My love for them and happiness helps me deal but it is hard..... I cant wait to have a baby again. I have a 12 year old already and am sooooooo ready for a lil one!!!
I was 17 when I had my son, I am 29 now and both of my pregnancies came at the drop of a dime. Seems now that I am thinking about it all the time it just wont happen.....I know it is hard because I am living proof but, we have to tell ourselves to relax and stop stressing out. I think stress adds to the trouble........Best wishes!!!

~~~~~baby dust to all~~~~~~
love, tammy
More Relax Now
I dont know what has happened the last few days. Perhaps from reading all the messages and seeing that I am not such a strange case, I am much more relaxed. When it has to happen it will happen. Something just switched in my mind and now I am so positive about it. If I find why I will let you know girls.
But, still not pregnant.
Baby dust to all of us....We will have our little ones.
I got pregnant when I was 18 the first time I had sex with my (now) husband.....While on the pill.....
Now, almost 3 years later, I am prego again!!!! And get this, ive been on depo provera for almost 9 months now, and it still happened.....
Both unplanned, but welcomed, but heaven knows? Its every womens body for itself....In my way-unprofessional opinion??? :)
but best of luck to you all looking to concieve.....In due time....
My husband and I are going into our 6th month of ttc...It is very frustrating and disappointing every month when af comes. Last month I was 5 days late and I cried when af arrived. :( we were using opk's and recording my bbt the last two months. This month we have decided stop using the opk's and bbt and quit worrying about it so much and maybe it'll just happen.
Good luck everyone!
