Ok sopunding odd coming from anurse but I wasnt sure anyways I have heard that taking keppra can cause you to get muscular dystrophy or such symptoms of it is this true? I know it can cause weakness and mobility incoordination muscle weakness etc but md? If this is true please some one let me know. Why I am asking is because my 19 month old nephew has epilepsy seizures and takes keppra and trileptal. Help me out someone

I have not heard of that. The muscle weakness side effect is not too common, I think and is one that the neuro should be told about if you see it. Usually it means a change in meds. What is the source where you heard that? Look on the good medical boards like Epilepsy go to treatment on the left hand side to look up keppra and side effects...
