Q: Ra & Gout

I recently had 3 extreme attacks of "gouty arthritis" in my wrists. I am a middle aged female and this pain was like nothing i've ever experienced. I was diagnosed with ra and when I tried to find what brings these attacks on, I get no answers really. Gout is caused by high uric acid, of which mine is low. The Dr. Says that gout and ra go hand in hand.
I am about to try arava; anyone have any imput?
Thanks

Gout and .R.A rarely coexist. The best way to verify if you have gout or something else is to have joint fluid tested. More info on gout can be found at: http://www.Icuredmygout.Org . Good luck.
