Hi snowy. I currently take paxil - have
been taking it since 2001 and at times
have stopped taking it only because I have
no health insurance and it's pretty
expensive. Yeah that's not so smart.
While rationing helped my bank account, my
anxiety and panic attacks came back in
full force after a couple days without it.
Right now I am taking the generic form
and that doesn't seem to be working. I
too think about the whole children issue
and having to get off my meds to have a
baby and then think "i can never have kids
cuz I wouldn't be able to deal." it
totally sucks because of all the
'non-habit forming' crap because in a way
it is. But honestly if you are thinking
of getting off of it talk to a doc first
cuz I think you have to do it gradually
because I know from my experience,
stopping all together is not wise.

The best thing to do is to talk to your dr
about it, he may be able to prescribe
something for you to take during pregnancy
but be sure to ask him about
breastfeeding, if you plan to do that, I
do not know what dosage you are on but
their are lighter doses of paxil.
