I am recovering from anorexia. One of the things that made me anoreixc and kept me anorexic was a poor appetite. When I was very sick, I went a few days without food. I was hungry for the first day. After that, I was not hungry anymore. I felt a sense of empowerment for overcoming my addiction to food. How ironic? Anyway, my appetite seemed to disappear or not happen much when I restricted. I might be hungry for a short time, but after that time, I was less hungry even nauseous so I didn't eat.
I am seeing a nutritinist now and trying to keep to my meal plan. If I only ate when I was hungry, i'd be much worse than I am now. Right now, it is actually weird. I usually don't have much appetite, especially like normal people. Sometimes though I am ravenous though once I start eating.
I have seen information stating both ways. Some information says that anorexics tend to have realtively low appetite. Other information says that anorexics rarely lose their appetite and feel hungry all the time. I don't know which is true.
Even when I don't have appetite though, I like to look at food, recipes, and menus though.

Yeah once I don't eat for awhile I totally lose my appetite and then it becomes really easy to continue not eating.
