All I keep reading is these terrible things about yasmin. I just started it 2 days ago its the first bc I have every been on. Yes I have some side effects, but there are hormones going into my body. I knew that my body wouldn't be the same but I need to hear something good please because now I have all these ideas in my head. It's like a bad rumor in high school once it starts everyone believes it. I don't want to get paranoid because I am reading all this bad stuff and start to really think that I am having all these side effects when I am really not. If anything I feel happier can any one be of help?!?!

I was on yasmin for about 4 months, but it didn't suit my body all that well and went back to my orth tri-cyclen. I was having quite a few problems with it (headaches, sickness, and no sex drive what so ever).

I wouldn't worry about too much you hear. Every girls body is different and we all have different reactions to everything. Since it is the first kind of birth control you've been on, if you have any side-effects, they could freak you out. They normally go away within 3 months. If you get side effects and they last more than 3 months, just talk to your doctor. They'll probably have you try a new kind if it comes down to that.

Just one thing to look out for is, if you start getting bad migraines (where they feel like a stabbing pain) more than 3 times a week, call the doc as soon as possible. I had those on alesse (i think it was) and they took me off of them immediately (mostly because it knocked me out and I fell down stairs).

Read all of the little booklet that came with it so you recognize the different problems that can happen. Don't worry about what others say.. Just listen to your body really. Oh, and don't forget to use condoms your first month on them or you really could get pregnant. It takes the first month to level out your hormones.

Everybody is different even we all are women or can have the same age. Each body reacts different to each kind of pills, for example there will be always a % of women who react with whatever kind of birth control pills, others with few and other with none! The most important thing is to realize if your body accepts the pill and the pill is efficent for you and you are comfortable with it.

I used yasmin for over 3 years in a row and never had a problem with it. I don't have anything bad to say, on the contrary. Yasmin is suppose to be especially created is to get rid off side effects during the period plus is a birth control pill.

The first 3 months was kind of messy, still had like 7 days by period and feeling kind of weird, my ob/gyn told me to wait that it was normal and yahoooo great! After that waiting period I have to say that I didn't want to leave yasmin, until well my new health provider doesn't cover it so I had to change. Now I am in sprintec and has one of the same components of yasmin so at the beginning was the same thing kind of mess but after 2 months I am doing good.

So at the end don't follow every single thing that many people can say, I mean there are people saying that too much orange juice is not good! And I won't stop drinking orange juice. Is good to listen but a birth control should be a conversation between you and your body and consulting with your Dr. And report any change or aggravated side symptoms of course and follow the instructions that is in the package.

By the way, yasmin has a website that you even can contact them if you have a doubt or question or let them know about something from their pill. I did once and they answered me back.

I liked yasmin at first, but I eventually got side effects. I got migraines and my sex drive was gone. That's why there are more than one brand of pills out there. You just have to find one that fits you. If yasmin doesn't work out for you, all you have to do is try a new one. There's nothing to worry about. I just switched to ortho tri-cyclen lo and I love it. My face is clearing up and my sex drive is back! I suggest you try that one if you decide to switch, unless your doctor has a better idea. I told my doctor I wanted to try it and she said "good idea!" so that worked out nicely. :d

so anyway, don't let the rumors bother you. Yasmin may work out just fine for you or it may not. It would be the same case as with any other brand. Good luck to you!

I Love Yasmin
Hi! I've been on yasmin for a year and a half now and I had absolutely no problems for about a year and 3 months, lately I think i've been getting yeast infections, never ever had one before, and this month I had some spotting very strange. It could be something else because I never had any major side effects before. Don't listen to what you read just try it out and see if it works for you. Yasmin is the first and only bc I have ever been on. It worked perfectly for me! I didn't gain any weight, I don't get acne because of it, nothing really.... At first I was skeptical to have sex without a condom because since I didn't feel any side effects I was like is this crap really working or what?!?!? But I never got pregnant while being on it so I guess it works wonderful for me, after this past year and a half I have no urge to change this pill. Continue to see if it works for you, thats the only way to truly find out.

Yasmin Right For Some
I was on ovcon 35 for about 14 years (since I was 15) and I was having dark, course facial hair, I was prone to pimples and I was losing my hear. My doctor recommended me to a endocrinologist and they both, together recommended yasmin. It is a great porduct for me, but not right for everyone.

My husband I are currently trying for our first child, and since I have pocs, I am taking all sorts of other medicine to get my body going the other way...

Best,
