I heard that the friend of my cousin who was pregnant found that the baby was dead at 7th month. We are all shocked. How is it possible and what are the chances. See I am 19 weeks preg and I am really scared. How can I protech my baby. Please let me know are there are any dangers causing to the fetus when it is in stomach.

Loss of a baby specially at the later stage of pregnancy is extremely difficult. But it doesn't mean that it will also happen to you. At the later stage of your pregnancy, the movement of the fetus/baby will be more predictable (starting 6th mo onwards). I am currently on my 30th week and my dr told me that no movement for at least 3 hours, has to be reported and an immediate check-up is necessary. I was starting to panic last week. Since I was a bit busy, did not notice if my baby moved for the last 2 hours. Rang husband immediately and ask him to be on stand-by in case I still don't feel the baby move in the next 30 mins. I drank a sweet warm drink and lay down for 30 mins. I was very thankful that the baby moved and kicked in just about 10 mins. What a relief!
For the meantime, worrying is the least you should do (though it is easier said than done). Talk about your concerns with your partner, family and close friends to give you more assurance and positive aura. For as long as you eat healthy foods, it should not be a problem. Most important thing though, as soon as your instinct tells you there is something wrong, go and see your dr immediately. Have a healthy pregnancy ahead of you.
