Q: Started Yasmin On the 1st Day of My Period

I just started yasmin. I started it the day of my period which was a weds. They gave me a choice of either a 1st day starter or a sunday starter. My period seems worse with cramps and heavy bleeding for me and my stomach feels quizzy. So are the side effects stronger because I started the day of my period?
