Hello,
circumstances have brought me down this path so i'm doing a bit of research before a major undertaking.
My father had lupus a little over 10 years ago and he passed away not too long after that. He was involved in a terribe accident 18 years prior to that where his abdomen was struck by shrapnel from a helicopter crash mostly damaging his liver and other organs. Most others around him died.
He did consume alcohol but not at a dramatic rate. My question is, and I know lupus can attack internal organs, would it attack a weak organ like his liver was at the time, and if it did could it cause a quick degredation to the point of death within weeks if not properly treated? I've seen cirrhosis as a symptom but I have not seen the liver as an organ directly affected by lupus.
The research I have done has been limited thus far.
I would like to thank anybody responding in advance and I appreciate any insight and knowledge given.
