I just started using the nuvaring birth control and I have a couple of questions.

1. Was it right for my gyno to put me on nuvaring when it's my first time on birth control?
2. It sort of burns right behind the rough spot, where the ring lies. Do you think that is just irritation because nothing has ever been there consistently or do you think it could be something more serious?
3. How long does it take the hormones from the nuvaring to fully filter into my body?
4. What are the chances of getting pregnant during the beginning stages of the birth control?
5. If I were to become pregnant and still have the ring in, would the hormones harm the baby as it continues to filter into my body?

Thanks everyone, the help is highly appreciated!
