With so many people awaiting transplants I think that is a very kind gesture,you yourself would know the risks involved in this and you also know that there are far more people awaiting a transplant then there is donors,i will hold up my hands and say unless it was for my children I don't think I would have the guts to do something like this,when i'm gone I don't care what they take as I will no longer need any of it call me selfish if you will but this is just my way of thinking and I think you are wonderful to offer to help others

Thanks for the advice. I am just afraid I will die of something where my organs can't be transplanted and I think a kidney is a minor thing to spare in the span of things. Chris

For every living donor giving an organ to someone in need it saves soemone else who is waiting on a transplant list a little more time. My mother donated to me 12/05/01 and I have been fine since. You would be tripling soemone's lifespan and saving them from the rigors of dialysis. You are a good person.
