Q: Question About Bc And Gyno Visit

My insurance only pays for me to have a gyno exam once a year, so I have to schedule it for after nov 24, but that week will be my period week... And then the next week, I would have no pills bc I have no refills left... Isn't that bad for your body? To have to stop using the pill for a little while and then go back? I dont understand why insurance does this!!! There are 52 weeks in a year, but a full prescription of bc only covers 48 weeks!
Anyone have tips on what to do in between the end of the pills and the gyn visit?

As long as you have an appointment scheduled they can phone in an extra month of pills to get you thru. You just need to call and let the nurse know the situation and when your appointment is. Happens all the time!
