I started taking lexapro 5 mg about 2
weeks ago after I realized I felt like I
was disconnected from the world and I have
been having trouble sleeping and and I
have this weird tension in my head, like I
can hear popping noises when I move my
head. I also can't think very clearly
and my attention span is so bad its scary.
I went to the doc and he suggested I
switch to zoloft. Being someone who
hates any type of pill I just wondered if
anyone could relate to what i'm going
through. I'm just kind of scared to take
the zoloft. I'm starting to think I want
to do this naturally...So if anyone has
any thoughts on that that would be greatly
appreciated as well....Thank you and I
feel for any of you going through this
extremely hard situation...Good luck
everyone..You can do it

A lot of our types of drugs can take
upwards of a month to fully kick in and
get rid of any side effects. Did you
talk about the side effects with your Dr.?

Yes I did talk to the doctor and I have
taken lexapro before for about a month and
I felt extremely numb. I just stopped
the medication and never went back to the
doctor after that. The doc said that if
I felt numb from 10mg and 5 was keeping me
awake that I should try a different
med...I guess this makes sense...Maybe I
just need to tough out the weird feeings
for awhile...I dont know..Its just scary

Hey Posted: 11-19-05 00:50am
There r so many depression drugs out there
sometimes it takes a little bit of time to
find the right one. I took lexapro
before and it didn't work for me either it
made me feel really weird but I know
other people who have taken it and got
along ok. But doen't give up if it
does'nt feel right tell your doc. He can
give u something-else. I just started
taking a new drug to call depakote for
bipolar and I know how u feel its scary to
try something new. Good luck
