This is ridiculous, i'm going on this website. Im 15 for gods sake, all of you people have real problems and mine seems mini. I have to deal with a major alcoholic in my family and it always gets me down because it leads to verbal abuse(which im pretty sure is non intentional because she doesnt realize shes doing it). My otheer parent works away all week and is always stressy with me and my brother and I used to be best friends but we dont talk anymore. I have a great life and a loving family but I recently have not been happy at all. Really shitty and I know its pissing everyone off. Alcoholics are not nice to deal with. And guess what my "clever" solution to it is? To drink myself. Alot. Every night. And im 15. Please someone talk to me. It is such a mission to be happy. Very rare. :( help, im really depressed and I hat epretending to be all happy.

I hate pretending to be happy to. I have been suffering with depression as long as I can remember...I do not seem to enjoy life and I have problems too...I dont measure problems. Problems are problems and they need to be dealt with...I am here cuz I need to vent...

You are dealing with an alcholic...They need to realise they have a problem in order for this situation to resolve itself...You can do nothing really to help them unless they want the help themselves. I wont recommend that you drink though...After all...You are just 15 and age aside...Drinking occasionally is cool...But being dependant on alcohol is another story...At the moment I am hooked on cigarettes and I wish I never picked the stuff up. Don't start to drink...Talk to the person when they are sober and tell them how they hurt you if they do at all. Whether it is emotionally, mentally or physically...Try to talk to the person...If that don't work...Grow up real fast and get the heck outta ther!

Your problems are never insignificant. If something hurts someone so much that they want to escape from it, then that must be something major. I also have my own addiction, so I understand where your coming from. It eases the pain of depression and unhappiness. But it is always temporary. You crave it more and more, and it takes over your life. I still have problems with my own. So how do you cope? How do you make yourself happy again? How do you avoid your drunken mother and your busy father? You must take baby steps in order to do it. Start by laying off the booze for a while and get out of the house as much as possible. Take your brother with you. Have you tried to talk to other family members about this? They might be able to understand your situation. What about your father, have you taken it up with him?
