That was the last pill that I was on. It made my hormones soar like crazy but my skin ws always clear. I never had any problems with pregnancy while on it, and the clear skin was great, it was just a little problematic with my hormones.

Hope this helps,
casey

Question
I just got switched from desongen which I had been on for over a year to Apri and was told they are the same that one is the generic of the other, but I found that this month I've been really moody and anxious, has anyone had a similar experience or am I going crazy? Is it even possible if the pills are chemically identical?

They should chemically be the same that's what generics are is the same active chemicals. (I work as a pharmacy tech) The only difference should be the filler which for 90% of people on ANY drug this does not affect them. I would call your dr and check with him on the stuff going on. You never know it could be something else or maybe you do need to change to something different. Hope you are doing better!

I was on Apri for almost 3 years and never had a problem with it. My face was always clear and it never affected my mood. However I am pregnant now so I dont take it anymore.

Warn your friends about 3rd Generation Birth Control Pills
My sister started on Apri a couple months ago and just had a venous thrombosis in her brain (stroke) which caused her to be completely paralyzed on one side. The doctors asked us if she was on birth control pills. I looked up Apri and found the third generation pills containing Desogen double your risk of blood clots vs. the 2nd generation birth control pills. It says very clearly in the Apri warnings that there is a risk of venous thrombosis but it doesn't stress that this can lead to paralysis. Please spread the word to your friends to stick to the 2nd generation pills which work just as well and have half the rist. She's in a wheelchair for the rest of her life now and she's only in her early 40's. If only her doctor or one of her friends would have warned her.
