I normally take my ortho-lo everyday at 9 pm, but i'm a college student who always ends up at the local walmart at 9 pm .So sometimes I end up taken my birth control maybe an hour to maybe 2 hours later than 9 but i've never missed a day or have ever needed to skip a pill. I was wondering if that can effect its effectiveness?

I had unprotected sex a week ago and currently i'm having my period but its very light so i'm kinda worried.

You normally have a six hour window when taking the pill, meaning that if you were to take your pill up until (in your case since you take yours at 9pm) 3 am. Obviously you should try to take it at the same time every day. I have taken mine 4-5 hours late in one given week oops!! Anyway, I am better now! What you might even do for the future incase you are strapped for time is go ahead and buy two months worth at a time so that way you always have them with you! Good luck, but as far as effectivenss, you should be fine, as long as you don't actually "skip" one.

Don't worry!
