Hi I am new to the forums.

Here is a brief introduction of myself...I am tracy, soon to be 29, am a mom to a 7 year old son and expecting another baby on the way..Due in march 2006.

My mom who is 46 was diagnosed with lung cancer in november of 2004. She had surgery done in jan of 2005 and had 3/4 of her left lung removed. She then had to undergo 7 weeks of radiation 5 days a week.

She is doing much better now and the radiation has helped and she is now on medication but they have also found two more tumors inside her body. One in her spine and another in a cell. Right now they are just keeping a close eye on her as the other two tumors are not active at the moment.

I am very scared. She lost her mother from breast cancer at the age of 47. I was born that same year my grandmother was sick and she passed away I was barely a year old. My mom had also lost her great grandmother to cancer (who is her mom's mom) at a young age as well from a form of cancer (at age 46) so you can all see the trend here.

I feel aweful. I am pregnant and due arround the time my grandmother passed away and I guess its really touchy with me.

Anyways sorry for rambling. And thanks for taking the time to read.

Hi Tracy,

My name is Nancy, i am 20 years old. my mother was diagnosed with stomach cancer in July 2008, it was stage 3. She did surgery, cemo, radiation... then they told her after a while cancer was gone. After, a few months she was still in horrible pain.. while in pain.. liquid started to form in her stomach and her stomach grew. this liquid went to her lungs. When they drained the lungs, her one lung collapsed leaving her in the hospital for 2 weeks. Phenomena is what they detected. They are giving her 6 months.

I can take this news, and go crazy. Which has already kind of happened. I don;t believe she going to leave me then. I have so much faith in God and healing that i am willing to be okay with life and how it is treating me right now. I love Jesus, He has helped me given me strength, blessings beyond belief.

I know u are scared and you feel horrible, i know how u are feeling. i want my mom to see me get married and have kids, and just graduate college. He will give you want you need. Pray to Jesus. let me Him control your life.

GOD BLESS YOU, i wish u the best.

Nancy
