Who is not bulimic, to empty after eating? I guess I am worried that my stomach is holding food longer than it should.

Depends
In normal people, the stomach should empty in 4-6 hours, less if you eat a small amount of low fat carbohydrate, eg.-jello, juice, fruit, ect. However, those with a history of long time eating disorders can take double that time because you are used to not letting the food go through or not eating. I know because I feel full for hours longer than the norm. If I eat a meal and keep it in. It's not fun. And yes, it will be very uncomfortabe but eventually your stomach will start to work better. Did I answer your question?

Normally
Well, it can take 2-6 hours if you don't empty it yourself.
