Q: Halos Around Coloured Part of Eyes

I have halos around the coloured part of my eyes which I have had for about a year. My eyes are always sore and bloodshot. I wear glasses for long vision and my eyes were tested recently.
At a recent visit to the doctor, she suggested that it was an early sign of dementia.
Then I went to an iridologist who told me it was a sign of bad cholesterol
or possibly liver problems.
I am 52.
Can someone help,please?

Haols
Check with your primary care physician. Light colored rings (halos) around the outside of the colored part of your eye can be a folic acid deficiency. I'm not sure what else they could mean, but your doctor should know

Weird
I have like brownish-red rings inside the colored part of my eyes. But apparently that's not a problem. It makes my eyes look brown from a normal distance, you have to look pretty close to see that they're really hazel with red rings. I don't know about these light colored "halos". Sorry. Then again, i'm 19, so it could be a sign of age?
