My mother and I have hosted three baby showers and they were all really fun!!

The one that I liked the most was when we decided to also invite the men and had it outside in my back yard. It's a big yard and it's really pretty so we just decorated a bit and put up a party tent. We had bbq to accommodate the guys and then all the little girly foods also.

We played a number of games that were really fun and I would like to share these with you!

The diaper game:
this game was played by the women and their partners (i had three cousins that were pregnant at the same time so they were the ones who played) we bought adult diapers and the object of the game was to have the men crawl from one side of the yard to the other where the mommy was waiting and then they had to lay down while the mommie put the diaper on the guy. Then the guy had to crawn back where he started and whoever got there first won!! This was hilarious to see (of course the diaper was put on over their pants)

baby food game:
two people were blindfolded. One sits down with their hands behid their backs. One is standing up with a jar of gerber and a spoon. The person standing up has to feed the person sitting down with the spoon. Whoever finishes first wins. Since they are both blindfolded the person eating the gerber usually ends up with food all over their face! It's so funny.

Bottle drinking:
this is like the gerber eating game except we bought baby bottles and cut a bit of a larger hole in the nipple. We filled them up with beer and once again they are both blind folded and whoever is drinking the beer has their hands behind their back, the person that holds the bottle can't use his/her hands to find the other person's mouth. We like to put the two people at least four feet away from each other (facing each other) so that it is hard to find the person and their mouth right before they start drinking.

Baby dressing game:
we find a few dolls that can be dressed up and we find all the little things that babies wear. We then see who can dress the doll the fastest and that's who wins.

Act like a baby game:
prior to the baby shower we write down all the little things that babies do. We then put them in a basket and have everyone pick out a little piece of paper. We then have everyone standing in a circle and one by one they go into the circle and act out the baby action that is written in the little piece of paper. Examples are: crying like a baby, poutting, their first steps, making spit bubbles, throwing a fit, pooping in their diaper or being constipated, going crossed eyed, sucking their thumb and so on.

I hope this gives some people a few ideas about baby games!

Well, I don't know if anyone is reading the shower games but I thought I would post another one that I am thinking of having in my baby shower

ask each guest to bring in a baby pic of themselves and give the pic to the host. The host will then place all the baby pics somewhere with a number underneath. The guests will then write the number down on a piece of paper and guess who's who. (i really want to see baby pics of everyone)

and for those who are religious there's a spiritual or prayer shower. This is when all the guests read an inspiring scripture from the bible or say a prayer dedicated to your baby right before they hand you their gifts. I think this is really nice.

There's also "gift bingo" you hand out a paper with a grid on there to your guests and they write down what they think you will get for your gifts. Then they can play bingo along with you while you are opening your gifts.

It is a pen game all you do is give everyone 5 close pens and if someone catches them crossing there legs the person that catches them takes a pen the person with the most pens at the end of the baby shower gets a gift

I've been to showers where its really close to the clothes pin game you mentioned, beautiful. Except you give everyone 3 clothes pins that they pin to their shirt, &the rules are: you cannot say the name of the baby, or you can opt to not be able to say the name of the father of the baby! If you hear someone say it, you grab a clothes pin from them before someone else can get to it. The one with the most clothes pins at the end of the game is the winner!

Ok try this one
take a bag of rice and about 250 safty pins put them into one big bowl. Put a blind fold on someone and have them try to find as many safty pins as they can in 2 minutes.Record the results, and the person with the most at the end of the game wins a prize

hope that I have helped
if not sorry
