Toothless Or Dentures? Posted: 10-28-05 02:46am
Hi
i had all my teeth extracted when I was 35
and waited for my gums to heal before
being fittted with dentures. My
transition to dentures was relatively
smooth and because I waited they fitted
really well. The thing is I much rather
prefer not to wear my dentures. I can
eat better without them and my mouth does
not feel quite as quite constricted. My
husband has also said that he prefers me
without teeth than when I use my dentures.
He says that he loves the way my face
appears that much softer when toothless.
Have any of you had the same experience?
I'm at the point where I may even be
considering remaining toothless. Any
thoughts?
Regards
charm

Toothless Or Dentures Posted: 11-17-05 07:36am
Hi charm.
I had all my teeth pulled at the age of
18 and I am now 22. I have dentures and I
have been used to them. I have the most
gorgeous smile. I was toothless for 3
months prior to dentures. It felt strange
not having anything in the mouth and when
I got thedentures it felt also strange as
the mouth felt overcrowded. My boyfriend
was a bit shy in the beginning, but he
loves me as toothless in many ways. I
take my dentures off in the evening nights
and have more and more liked to be
toothless. My boyfriend loves the way my
face changes and the sweetest smile in the
world as he says when I do not have any
teeth in. I manage to eat quite good also
without teeth and I enjoy some soft food
and I love to eat icecreme without teeth
as it cools down the gums without the pain
in teeth(lol).
I more and more do not use my dentures and
I have learned to speak very well without
teeth. I have even gotten to enjoy my
toothless looks. It is not very sunken as
my gums are very good and supports the
lips quite well.
I have been some times in south africa
durban, jb and cape town. I did see a lot
of denture wearers there also relative
young ones. Is that your impression
also?
I understand you points very much by
deciding to be toothless. I would if it
wasn't for my sosial life where some
environments do not accept toothless
people especially the job. At home I have
more and more been toothless.
Just some thought from me all the best

I think if you’re tooth are all pulled
you don’t have any choice but to wear
dentures! At first it is feeling
conscious and uncomfortable but as days
goes by you will be adjust and fit with
it! Besides if there are any prob occurs
with you’re dentures you can used good
products for it like polident denture
cleanser!
