Ok, i'm about 34 weeks pregnant.. I usually sleep on a water bed but last night I slept on a normal mattress (on my left side) I woke up and it feels like my hip is bruise and it hurts to walk and if I try to lay on my left side that side of my stomach really starts to hurt and it hurts a bit as I sit here.. If I lay on my right side all is fine but it gets uncomfortable.. I'm just wondering if there could be any risk to the baby or a if theres something wrong that could cause this pain when I lay on that side? Please answer as I am kind of scared..

Hi samantha, what it sounds like is that the regular mattress just was a bit uncomfortable for you. Since you are used to a water bed that conforms to you and most regular matresses don't I would say thats whats wrong. I highly doubt that anything is wrong with your baby! I am sure you will be fine, try a warm bath or heating pad on low and I am sure your aches will go away! Good luck!
