I had a myelogram yesterday and was wondering if it was normal to feel a crushing sensation in your legs and buttocks when they inserted the contrast. This lasted for about 2 hours and was given morphine to help with the pain. This is my first myelogram so not sure if that was normal or not....Thanks

Yes, it is normal for the contrast dye to stimulate the painful areas and increase the amount of pain you are sensing. I had my first myleogram on wed november 9th and it was a tough procedure with no pain medicine.

Goodluck with the result and hopefully you will be helped by finding answers for your pain.
