Bipolar Boyfriends Posted: 10-25-05 21:57pm
I am new to the forum, this is my first
post. I'm wondering if anyone else has
noticed how many posts there are here from
women thinking their boyfriends are
bipolar, and not so many from men thinking
their girlfriends are bipolar, or any
other partner situations. Why do you guys
think this is? Just curious what people
with more knowledge of the disorder might
think about this.
I have my own story to tell (i found this
forum by googling "boyfriend bipolar
disorder"). I'll post it in another
thread.

I'm bipolar and a guy. I'm not sure why
there more girls on here saying they think
there boyfriend is bipolar or are sharing
there storys about there bipolar
boyfriend.. For me I never dated a
girl who was bipolar.
But had a friend girl who was bipolar and
I couldn't tell she was bipolar she know
how to hide it really really well. I
didn't find out about it till I asked one
of her friends who was also one of my
friends. How she was doing and she said
oh (______) is alright but she went to the
p-doctor and gave her medical history to
the doctor. She's now diagnosed as being
bipolar.. I would say there not many
guys saying there girlfriend is bipolar
because ether they don't know what bipolar
is or know little about it. You'd be
surprize at how many people still don't
know about bipolar disorder or what it is.
But theres also alot of people that
know about it and what it is.. Also I
guess the woman want to vent, and tell of
there story, and feel like there not alone
when they say " I have a bipolar boyfriend
I can't take the ups and downs that it has
caused"
