I am doing a term paper on teen pregnancy and would love input from families, how your teens pregnancy affected your family, etc. Any input would be deeply deeply appreciated. Needed asap!

If you are looking for input you are going to have to post like you are a pregnant teen asking questions...

The girls here don't want to be a term paper or a statistic. They are here for support and such.

Term Paper
I am not trying to make them a statistic, I have a 17 yr old step daughter myself who has a 2 yr old little girl who lives with us. I know what it is like, I am there.

Not really, I mean if you were raped an got pregnant then I understand that it would be a sensitive subject, but mostly everyone on this forum did have sex, protection or not they still got pregnant *including myself*

obviously if someone got pregnant while not using protection then they didn't worry too much about preventing it.

I think some people need to get their heads pulled out of these little girl's asses and start thinking like a normal person.

Hey!
You guys speak for yourselves. There are some people on here who don't find it a problem to let their stories be known. If he bases his paper on his stepdaughter, then he's only got one side of the story. Maybe he wants to know about abortion and adoption as well. If you don't want to "be a statistic" and not help someone out, then say something along the lines of, "sorry I can't help you, but maybe someone else here can."

i however am here because my sister is going through a hard time with deciding what she wants to do, she's 17 and 7 weeks pregnant. Her tentative abortion appointment is tomorrow. We'll see how that goes (she hasn't gotten the money from "the boy" so she might not go tomorrow).

If you have any questions for me, you can email me and I will try to get back to you as soon as possible. But i'm warning you, i'm an outside source as well, as i've never been pregnant (and i'm 19).

I hope your sister gets through this time okay...I wasn't trying to be rude or mean...All I meant was it might be hard for a girl to talk about sometimes...Her fault or not. I hope she doesn't have an abortion, but it's her choice. There are so many places she can go to for support and to learn about being a mother. It will be hard if she's alone, and it's terrible that the father isn't helping at all but he might be scared too.

I know it can be sensitive because my sister was raped and she also chose to have sex another time and we thought she was pregnant. My mother was raped as a teen too. That's mainly what I meant by sensitive subject. Most of the girls i've talked to on here have been taken advantage of and some haven't but it still might be touchy. They might have made a mistake but they can't go back and change it. They are still learning how to deal with it, and I know that if you have sex you should be prepared to deal with it, but sometimes a girl doesn't reallllllly know what she's doing to herself when she does it. A lot of girls on here will say that's bull crap but really, when I was a teenager I didn't really know what I was doing sometimes even though i'd been told many many many times

I Never Thought This Day Would Come!
I semi-agree with you dalicia. He agreed to pay half (he made half of the bad decision). But if she had to pay for all of it, then she'd never get it done. (which would be good imo).
