Please guys I need your help ive been
crying since come back from the doctors
because I got my results back today from
my tummy and internal scan and the doctor
said im not preg but I have cysts on my
ovaries and she said that I don't need
treatment or anything for it. I have
alwys had very light periods with clots
in, they have been on time just few days
late/early. In august when I last took
the morning after pill my period was few
days late and last mth I was nearly a week
and a half late and it wasn't a proper
period. This mth I have not had my period
yet at all. Will this affect me getting
pregnant and should I be having treatment
or medication?
And the doctor also said that my blood
test showed a high hormone begining with
'p' but don't know what it means.....?
but my doctor said it could
and that it could be polycytic syndrome..
And should I just leave it an do noting
about it
are you talking about polycystic ovarian
syndrome?

A family member of mine had or has cysts
(can't remember if they did anything for
her treatment wise) and shes pregnant.
Although they did tell her that it could
affect her chances of becoming pregnant
but that nothing was for sure.
Hey poohbear101, can you ask her if she
had treatment and how long did she have
the cysts before she got pregnant? And
was it just ovarian cysts or the
polycystic syndrome she had? Pls get bk
to me thnx

Her dr adviced her to have surgery to
remove the cyst before she tried to get
pregnant which she did. Although she now
has one on her left and right overy again
which they didn't find out till after she
was already pregnant. Her dr said that it
shouldn't be a problem and that they'd
just watch to make sure. So far her
pregnancy has been just fine. Hope that
helps. Good luck.
I am just about 21 weeks pregnant and I
have a cyst on my left ovary (found out
about it about a month or so ago) and my
doctor is actually quite pleased that I
have one, he said that lots of women don't
get one, but the cyst produces a hormone
that is very good for the baby (not so
pleasent for me). It shouldn't affect you
getting pregnant but if it is still around
when you are then it is apparently good
for the baby (i guess it's okay not to
have one too).

Hi there candy,
i had similar problems. Back in july I
was rushed to the hospital and turned out
I had an ovarian cyst that ruptured.
Believe me the most pain I have ever felt.
Anyway the doctor gave me pain meds and
told me the liquid should absord in the
next few weeks. They had also got me on
birth control again which I was taking
like they wanted me to. I was on a birth
control levlin I think where I was not
suppose to get my menstrual for the next 3
months. Anyway while I was taking it, low
and behold I got it. And it was 15 days
long very heavy!! Before all of that I
was very irregular or would not even get
my periods. I think all because of the
cyst. Well I was still suffering from the
pain but dealt with it./ and in 9 I was
rushed again, turned out again that I had
several ovarian cysts that had ruptured
this time. I was really sad and crying
because the point of birth control is to
prevent ovaries. So I was really upset it
happened. They gave me a different kind
of birth control, and told me that the one
I was on must not have had enough
progestrone. That may be the thing they
told you. So the one they gave me I had
to start out taking like 2 each day until
the bleeding actually stopped./ ever since
I started taking birth control my stomach
was sooo upset, hurt really bad so I
decided to stop and ever since then my
stomach has felt wayyyy better. Some
women are prone to ovarian cyst.
Unfortunately the docs dont know why. But
I had also asked if that can possibly lead
to infertility and the look on my doc face
was clueless because they really cant say,
I personally believe eventually it can
lead to that or endometriosis but as of
right now my boyfriend and I have been
trying since 9-24 and I believe I am...
Good luck and keep strong, again listen to
what your body is telling you not
necessarily the docs...
Thankyou so much reading the posts have
made me feel lot better because at least I
know what my options and that is that its
better to try now tha leave it for the
future but do you think its going to
affect my fertility if I leave trying for
baby about another year and a half or do
you think I should just start trying now
because of having better chance. I get
alot of pain on left goes right down to
left side of pelvic bone, don't know if it
could be the cysts but my doctor thinks
so, I dont even know how long I hvae had
it either.
